I was lucky enough to attend the Make Up Revolution 2nd Birthday Event at Cafe De Paris London on Thursday 10th March!
If you haven’t heard of Make Up Revolution before, they are an amazing low-end/high street/drug store brand available in Superdrug in the UK and in Ultra in the US. I love their affordable palettes and the fact that they have dupes of high-end products. My first Make Up Revolution purchase was the Eyes like Angels palette pictured below which began to inspire me to create different eyeshadow designs using the beautifully pigmented colours it included. Since this first purchase, my addiction with the brand has snowballed so when I saw Make Up Revolution were inviting beauty bloggers to attend their 2nd birthday event in London, I jumped at the chance!
The venue was amazing, and I was blown away by the brand’s generosity, providing food, cocktails and a free bar for the evening. Additionally, there was a photo booth, chocolate fondue fountain and even a pug – cute!! The event was a nice way to meet fellow bloggers and to have a sneak peak at their new products as well as other brands such as Freedom, I heart makeup and a few Superdrug brands too. Of course, I managed to grab some pictures of these new products which I can share with you below. The rose gold lipsticks caught my eye for their amazing packaging, but the shade ‘Red Carpet’ in particular looks gorgeous and definitely needs adding to my collection.
Adam Minto, the brand’s Director, spoke about how important bloggers and social media have been to the brand’s success, I won’t bore you with the details of the whole speech but it just reminded me how much I love being a blogger and sharing my experiences with you! I was lucky enough to meet two lovely bloggers @Gemsupnorth and @iamguinevere who travelled from Greater Manchester to attend the event. These ladies made my night as I was pretty nervous attending my first blogging event and they took my under their wing – thanks ladies! To top the whole evening off, when we left the event we were all given a Make Up Revolution goody bag with some pretty awesome bits of make up from Revolution, Freedom and Colourless! These included a professional palette, brush cleaner, hair dye, strobing cream (which I am dying to use) and some beautiful rose gold pieces too.
Thank you to Make Up Revolution for an amazing event and a big Happy Birthday!
