I recently purchased the Barry M Gelly Hi-shine in the shade Cotton as I was after a white nail polish. I have seen some white nail polishes which look gorgeous and others which don’t look very good at all. I decided to purchase the white nail polish in the Barry M Gelly range as I have previously purchased the shade Blueberry, which is a lovely colour. My Blueberry nail polish really does provide high shine. The Barry M nail polishes were also on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots so I decided to purchase the cotton shade and Grapefruit and Satsuma which I think are great summer colours which I can’t wait to try out and share with you.
My first thoughts on the Cotton shade was that this was a great purchase as the colour is really pigmented. This nail polish looks really great, you can’t see any brush strokes when it dries and it looks much more expensive than it actually is. Both of my Barry M Gelly nail polishes dry relatively quickly which is very important because I am so impatient when it comes to waiting for my nails to do. They also do not chip as quickly as some of the other nail polishes I own including my Models Own and Nails Inc. nail polishes. The only flaw I could see with this product is that in the cotton shade, this Gelly nail polish isn’t quite as shiny as the other nail polishes in this range. However, I do think the range of Gelly Hi-Shine nail polishes by Barry M are absolutely fantastic. They are a much more affordable alternative to getting your nails done at the salon and I would highly recommend the range.

I normally apply a base coat (I use OPI by Nicole’s top coat) and let it dry and then do one coat of this nail polish. It seems to look okay but I think this shade-cotton actually looks nicer than blueberry and grapefruit! Haha don’t give up!!
